FlyBridge Deck Core Project
Well, we have decided to tackle the mother of all MS I recoring jobs, the fly bridge. The rigidity of it, (or lack thereof) has bothered me for some time. It flexes in the middle section, and toward the aft end, the over hang, you can actually see it dip when someone walks around on that section.
One of the features most MS I owners really value is the large, extended fly bridge. Its a great place to hang out on wether your under way, or at anchor.
I drilled a fair amount of test holes up there to see what kind of shape it was in and to be honest most of it looked pretty "dry". It was not all all like the wet "peat moss" type of stuff we encountered in other spots such as the cockpit. Still, I wanted to improve it, and whatever condition it was in would only weaken further over time. So, with that in mind here we go.
First step was removing the actual fly bridge so we would have total access to the floor.
I will upload the pictures here soon, but to see the fly bridge removal Click Here
